Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"I was visiting Melbourne and some friends brought me here. There are a lot of great options on the menu and the prices are pretty good (and portions generous). There was an issue with one of the orders but they replaced it with no fuss."
"Very good Malaysian restaurant. The food is yummy and the portion is massive for one person. Staff were very kind and friendly. We tried noodles which was amazing. I definitely recommend this."
"This place didn’t blow our minds but there’s not much to complain about either - classic Malaysian dishes, simple and unpretentious, huge portions and solid prices. We decided to start with the pork dumplings, although they ended up coming out last. I was hoping for a crispy texture and a burst of flavor, but they were a little underwhelming. The laksa was pretty tasty. The broth had a great depth of flavor, and the noodles were cooked just right. However, the portion size was enough to feed a small village. Battled to finish it but came up short. Also ordered the sweet and sour chicken, which was pretty good. The chunks of chicken were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the sauce had a perfect balance of sweet and sour. The portion size was also huge, so it was good value for money. Overall, the restaurant serves up classic Malaysian dishes with generous portions and solid prices. While the pork dumplings were a letdown, the laksa and sweet and sour chicken were worth the visit. I would say it’s more of a 3.5 than a 4, but I could see myself grabbing some takeaway from here in the future."
"Ginger scallion chicken rice was so good and the portion size was quite hefty. Loved the iced teh as well. Friends had the laksa and said it was tasty as well."
"Ordered: Char Kway Teow - the “wok char” notes were barely present. As a stir fried rice noodle dish, it was tasty but as Malaysian Char Kway Teow, it was missing the “lardy” notes. The meat and seafood were not overcooked. Ipoh Combination Flat Rice Noodles - some “wok char” notes with tender meat and seafood - lots of egg gravy. Large portion for the price with generous toppings - good value. Food served promptly. Friendly and helpful service."
"We went to a Malaysian restaurant in Brunswick filled with Christmas decorations handmade by the boss, they were all so pretty They have a wide range of food on the menu, so there's definitely something to satisfy everyone BBQ Pork Laksa (AUD 22) Char Kual Teow (AUD 20.9) Sambal Squid (AUD 29.4) The portions were huge—we even had leftovers this time! The taste was on point and really satisfied my taste buds. The amount of BBQ pork in the laksa was crazy too"
"10/10 One of the best feeds we’ve had. Owner is awesome too"
"Lovely restaurant in Brunswick with generous serving sizes! The food was so good!! Highly recommend and will definitely be back. Pictured: seafood laksa, special fried rice, honey crispy chicken with a side of fried rice. 100% recommend!"
